Oklahoma is known for our energy. Our oil, natural gas, wind, and solar discovery, development, and distribution put Oklahoma on an international stage. One-quarter of Oklahoma’s jobs are in the energy sector, and their labor contributed about $65 billion dollars, directly and indirectly, to the state economy in 2014. Oklahoma must not only support our traditional energy industry, but also encourage innovations to foster advancement in new technologies and supporting sustainability opportunities. For decades, Oklahoma has led the energy revolution around the world. With an eye toward future energy needs, opportunities and conservation, the E Foundation is identifying implementable pathways for Oklahoma to lead the next energy revolution.
