Arnella Karges is the Vice President of Policy for the E Foundation for Oklahoma. She formerly served as the Deputy Campaign Manager for Oklahomans for Lamb, Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb’s campaign for governor. Prior to joining the campaign, Arnella was the Executive Vice President and registered lobbyist for the Oklahoma Oil & Gas Association (OKOGA). Previously she worked as Vice President of Government Affairs for the State Chamber of Oklahoma. In her role as an advocate and registered lobbyist for these statewide associations, Arnella has worked on energy, natural resources, aerospace, military, technology, telecommunications, transportation and ethics compliance issues. Her work included building coalitions for successful passage of state reforms, state questions and amicus brief filings. Arnella has also presented oral and written comments before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
Arnella previously worked for the Oklahoma House of Representatives in various roles including Deputy Clerk and Parliamentarian, Redistricting Director for 2009-2011, and Research Analyst. As Redistricting Director, Arnella led the staff division for the decennial legislative and congressional redistricting for the first time under a Republican majority. The legislation for the state’s House districts was overwhelmingly adopted and became law without legal challenge. Policy issues Arnella worked on included Speaker Todd Hiett’s Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI), development of a pilot project for autism research in Oklahoma and the privatization of CompSource.
Prior to working for the State of Oklahoma, Arnella worked for CMA Strategies and Cole Hargrave Snodgrass & Associates, on local to statewide campaigns, grassroots advocacy, government relations for various corporate clients, polling, market research and voter contact.
Arnella serves as Chair of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature Foundation and annually as Political Party Advisor for Oklahoma Girls State. Arnella also presents legislative procedure and parliamentary workshops across the state to various collegiate groups, partisan organizations, leadership entities, advocacy groups, non-profit boards and public bodies. Arnella attended Oklahoma City University and lives in Oklahoma City.
